Arrive in Mexico City. If time permits, we will stop at the Shrine of Guadalupe for prayers before checking into the hotel.

Shrine of Guadalupe, Mexico City
We will spend the day in Mexico City. Visit the impressive complex and one of Mexico’s holiest shrines, “Our Lady of Guadalupe.” Visit the New Basilica, which houses the sacred image of the Virgin of the Tilma, and the Old Basilica. Walk up to Tepeyac Hill and the surrounding gardens. Then enjoy a panoramic city tour that includes the Plaza of Three Cultures, the Zócalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the National Palace.

Day trip to Cuernavaca and Taxco
Depart Mexico City with a scenic drive to Cuernavaca, the city of eternal springs. Here we will explore the market and the church area with its beautiful garden. Then travel to the famous silver mining town of Taxco, nestled in the rugged mountains of the Sierra Madre. We will stroll through the cobblestone streets, visiting the Santa Prisca Church with its Baroque altarpieces. Free time for shopping and continue to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Teotihuacán Pyramids, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
This morning, we will drive to Teotihuacán, one of Mexico’s best-preserved cities. Teotihuacán was the most important city in North America. We will be amazed by the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the mile-long Avenue of the Dead, framed by the countless monuments and structures. In the afternoon, we will take our bus to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to join pilgrims from all over the world for Mass honoring Our Lady on Her anniversary, followed by dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Colonial Mexico City and Xochimilco
Today, we will drive to the neighborhoods of San Ángel and Coyoacán, with their colonial buildings, historic churches, outdoor cafes, and lively public squares. Then, we drive towards Xochimilco, where we enjoy a boat ride with mariachi music. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Price is per person based on double occupancy. Single room/stateroom supplement has the following additional charges: $499. While Adriatic Pilgrimages (AP) will try to match roommates, AP cannot guarantee one will be available. Roommates may be assigned as late as 35 days prior to departure and, if one is not available, the single room charge applies.

REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED after September 10, 2026:
We welcome registrations after 9/10/26. Registrations received between 9/11/26 - 9/25/26 will incur a fee starting at $200 per person. Registrations received between 9/26/26 - 10/10/26 will incur a fee starting at $400 per person. Registrations received 10/11/26 to departure or later will incur an additional fee based on air availability. Additional fees will be advised upon registration.
CANCELLATION FEES:
100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Travel Protection Program, provided the premium has been paid and the reason for cancellation is coverable. Those who do not take travel protection should be aware of the following per-person cancellation penalties: From the day of registration to 120 days prior to departure, you will be charged the $50 non-refundable cancellation fee plus any airline and land fees. Additionally, thereafter, you will be charged any airline penalties, land penalties, and a single room supplement if your cancellation forces your roommate into a single plus the following per-person charges: 119-91 days = $350; 90-61 days = $1000; 60-31 days = $1,500 of total cost; 30 days to the day of departure = 100% of the total cost. Submit cancellation in writing. On or after the day of departure, there will be no refund for any services not used.
